Principal's Message

Mr. Frost

Welcome to Tibbets School!
I am Principal Frost. My wife Tara, and I live in Waterford where we raise our three boys, Cael, Brolan, and Cullen. I grew up in Elkhorn, first as a student and 1993 graduate. I then worked for the school district's maintenance department while in college at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In 1998, I began teaching high school math, which I continued for the next 12 years while eventually earning my masters degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. I spent two years as assistant principal at the high, then six years as principal of Elkhorn Area Middle School before moving into my current role as principal at Tibbets Elementary.
My interests include watching my sons in their various athletic ventures, watching a great television series, and cheering on the local wrestling team. I have also been known to be a fan of the band Pearl Jam, travelling more than forty times to see them whenever they are near.
At Tibbets, our core belief is to be Responsible, Respectful, Safe, and Productive. We have an outstanding staff, great parents, awesome students, a super PTA, and a very supportive community. It is also my belief that solid relationships are the foundation for success in a school and before a student is willing to take an educational risk, they have to feel supported by the adults that are working with them. I therefore, make it my goal to get to know every student and their families so that we can work together as a team to support the child's success.
If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime via email, phone, or stop in the office before or after school. I hope that all Tibbets students can have fun as they continue to grow physically, emotionally, and academically through the elementary years.
